CHEMID is a chemical dictionary file for over 344,000 compounds of biomedical and regulatory interest. Records include CAS Registry Numbers and other identifying numbers, molecular formulae, generic names, trivial names, other synonyms, MeSH headings, and file locators which lead users to other NLM files. In addition, SUPERLIST provides names and other data used to describe chemicals on over 30 key federal and state regulatory lists.

Ebrary is a growing collection of electronic books and other documents. At present through the Academic Complete Collection Salve Regina University patrons have access to over 22,000 titles. Included in these titles is a collection of more than 1,050 historical and geopolitical maps of academic interest. More than 180 different academic publishers have contributed material to the Academic Complete Collection. Most titles in the collection have been published within the last two years.
Ebrary includes a rich collection of titles in many subject areas, ranging from Business and Economics, Computers and Technology, Life and Physical Sciences, Social and Behavioral Sciences, to Law and General Reference, that are not available in any other collection.

A cluster of databases on toxicology, hazardous chemicals, and related areas.

TOXLINE  (Government)

Primarily English language items; international coverage. Citations in TOXLINE cover pre-1965-forward. The records are derived from about 18 secondary sources. Citations may be retrieved by entering free text terms as they may appear in titles, keywords and abstracts of articles. Chemical substances can be searched by entering their corresponding CAS Registry Numbers and/or synonyms.

PubMed Central is a digital archive of life sciences journal literature, developed and managed by the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) at the U.S. National Library of Medicine (NLM). This database consists of full text, indexes and abstracts.

POPline  (Government)

POPLINE provides worldwide coverage of population, family planning, and related health issues, including family planning technology and programs, fertility, and population law and policy. In addition, POPLINE focuses on particular developing-country issues including demography, AIDS and other sexually transmitted diseases, maternal and child health, primary health care communication, and population and environment. POPLINE citations are searchable with POPLINE keywords as well as MeSH headings. The file is produced by the Population Information Program at the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health. The database is funded primarily by the United States Agency of International Development.

HSRR is a searchable database of information about research datasets and instruments/indices employed in Health Services Research, and the Behavioral and Social Sciences. The database provides descriptions of research resources including links to PubMed and links to sources for additional information or access to the resources.

NCBI provides public databases, conducts research incomputational biology, develops software tools for analyzing genome data, and disseminates biomedical information - all for the better understanding of molecular processes affecting human health and disease.

MedlinePlus and give easy access to medical journal articles. MedlinePlus also has extensive information about drugs, an illustrated medical encyclopedia, interactive patient tutorials, and latest health news.

MEDLINE
MEDLINE provides authoritative medical information on medicine, nursing, dentistry, veterinary medicine, the health care system, pre-clinical sciences, and much more. Created by the National Library of Medicine, MEDLINE uses MeSH (Medical Subject Headings) indexing with tree, tree hierarchy, subheadings and explosion capabilities to search citations from over 4,800 current biomedical journals.This database corresponds to the print indexes Index Medicus, Index to Dental Literature, and International Nursing Index.
