AGRICOLA  (Government)

Agricola is a database of bibliographic records created by the National Agricultural Library and its cooperators. The database is divided into two sections, an online public access book catalog (667,000) records and a journal article citation index (985,000 records), and covers materials dating from the 16th century to the present. The records describe publications and resources encompassing all aspects of agriculture and allied disciplines, including plantand animals sciences, forestry, entomology, soil and water resources, environmental management, conservation efforts, agricultural economics, agricultural engineering, agricultural products, alternative farm practices,and food and nutrition." --NELINET Liaison

Birds of North America

The Birds of North America Online is the electronic counterpart of Birds of North America (BNA), which was completed in 2002 as a joint project among the Cornell Lab of Ornithology, American Ornithologists' Union, and Academy of Natural Sciences. The printed version comprises 18 volumes and covers the 716 bird species nesting in the United States and Canada. Online, the file will be updated periodically with "contributions from researchers, citizen scientists, and designated reviewers and editors." BNA Online is also building image and video galleries to illustrate the behaviors and habitat of these species. It is planned that each online species account will include recordings of bird song and calls, selected from Cornell's Macaulay Library of Natural Sounds.

Ebrary is a growing collection of electronic books and other documents. At present through the Academic Complete Collection Salve Regina University patrons have access to over 22,000 titles. Included in these titles is a collection of more than 1,050 historical and geopolitical maps of academic interest. More than 180 different academic publishers have contributed material to the Academic Complete Collection. Most titles in the collection have been published within the last two years.
Ebrary includes a rich collection of titles in many subject areas, ranging from Business and Economics, Computers and Technology, Life and Physical Sciences, Social and Behavioral Sciences, to Law and General Reference, that are not available in any other collection.

PubChem provides information on the biological activities of small molecules. It is a component of NIH's Molecular Libraries Roadmap Initiative. PubChem includes substance information, compound structures, and BioActivity data in three primary databases, Pcsubstance, Pccompound, and PCBioAssay, respectively. Pcsubstance contains more than 61 million records. Pccompound contains more than 25 million unique structures. PCBioAssay contains more than 1600 BioAssays.
